COVID-19 Reopening with Restrictions
St. Ignace Public Library prioritizes your safety and we have adapted our building and procedures to minimize risk of exposure to COVID-19. We have installed plexi-glass sneeze guards at all three contact points at the circulation desk, placed 6-feet distancing markers, minimized closed doors, and limited the available furniture and spaced out our computers. Our bathrooms will be thoroughly cleaned every 2 hours and all high-touch areas will be cleaned after every patron (computers, desks, etc). A hand sanitizer station will be available for public use. We are doing everything we can to ensure your safety and comfort.
Reopening with Restrictions Beginning July 2
St. Ignace Public Library will be open with reduced hours and limited access to services. *Curbside will still be available
Safety is our top priority. To ensure the best possible experience, we ask that all patrons abide by the following requirements:
- All patrons ages 5 and older must wear a face-covering when visiting the library. If you do not have one upon entry, a mask will be provided for you
- Patrons must maintain 6-feet distance from one another
- If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not enter
- Patrons will have 45 minutes on the computers. Time renewals will not take place at this time
- The Community Room will be closed to patrons and to groups over 10
- The History Room may only have 2 patrons within the space
- Furniture cannot be moved
- Quarantine and sanitizing will affect items being removed off of patron accounts and hold times. Please allow 72 hours for items to be removed off of your patron account upon the item’s return
- Hand sanitizer & masks are available to the public. The building will be cleaned frequently throughout the day by staff
