The “Unlocking the Silence” Traveling Boarding School Exhibit will be on display at the St. Ignace Public library from November 12 to 19. This exhibit shares the history of these schools and the effects they have had on Indigenous people and communities. On Monday, November 15, Tribal Extension Educator, Charlee Brissette, will present on the legacy of federal Indian policy and the intergenerational effects that boarding schools has had on Indigenous communities.
