An ad in the March 15, 1979 issue of the St. Ignace News announced that the St. Ignace Cinema would play Disney’s Pinocchio for the next three days at 7:00 PM.
Coming attractions were: Watership Down, Superman, Every Which Way But Loose, and National Lampoon’s Animal House.
The February 19, 1979 City Council Meeting had entertained concerns about the local theater playing “Up in Smoke”. The consensus among council members was that the City legally couldn’t really do anything. They suggested that “religious organizations: be contacted.
